A survey is being conducted to check the social, educational and economic backwardness of the Maratha community through the Maharashtra State Backward Classes Commission. The duration of this survey was till 31 January 2024. However, as the survey requires more time in some places, it has been informed that the deadline for this survey is being extended till February 2, 2024.

The survey officials have been provided with identity cards for the survey through the Commission. During the survey, only the information of the Maratha community and open category is being taken through the questionnaire in a mobile application. After the survey official finds out that the family belongs to the reserved category, no further information will be taken about that family.

Since the duration of the survey is short, the survey officials can come for the survey early in the morning or late in the evening. The Maharashtra State Backward Classes Commission is appealing to the citizens to cooperate with the survey by providing necessary information to the survey officials appointed for the survey.
