Pune : Air Force issues notices to many commercial buildings in Sai-Satyam Park area of Wagholi 

Air Commodore, Assets Officer, Air Force Station, Pune have issued notices to many commercial buildings adjacent to Pune Nagar Highway in Sai Satyam Park area here. The notice mentions that the building is located in airspace and is unauthorized.

A deadline of 15 days has been given to demolish the buildings. Business owners in Sai Satyam Park have approached the High Court against this.

The space in the public premises is owned by the Union Government of India (Air Force). In violation of Section 5A (2) of the Act, 1971, a building has been constructed on the said site in an unauthorized manner. Earlier this notice was also issued on 17 May 2023.

At that time, the business owners had submitted the documents of their place to the Air Force. It was also verified. But this place is owned by the Air Force and a building has been constructed on it illegally.

In terms of sub-section (2) of section 5A of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1971, you are required to remove a building constructed on a public place. If you do not submit or remove the building or if the reason given is insufficient, the cost of removing the building will be recovered from you.

The Air Force came to the area and called for the building to be brought down. Notices have been issued on 4th January 2024.
