Maratha Kranti Morcha calls for Pimpri Chinchwad Bandh On Sept 9

Pune: The Maratha Kranti Morcha has called for a citywide Bandh in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Saturday.  

As per information from the Facebook handle of Maratha Kranti Morcha, the citywide Bandh will be on September 9 for the entire city of Pimpri Chinchwad. 

Protesters who had been on a peaceful hunger strike for four days in Jalna’s Antarwali village demanding Maratha reservation were brutally lathi-charged by the police.

The anger is now reverberating across the state. Bandh, in this case, was raised by Maratha Kranti Morcha in many districts of the state. In many places, the community has taken to the streets. Against this backdrop, the Maratha Kranti Morcha and the entire Maratha community have called for a bandh in the city of Pimpri Chinchwad to protest this lathi attack.

Apart from essential services, all other shops will remain closed. An appeal has been made by the Maratha Kranti Morcha and the entire Maratha community for everyone to participate in the citywide Bandh in Pimpri Chinchwad.
