Maruti Suzuki, India’s automotive leader, is set to make waves in the eco-friendly vehicle market with the launch of two new hybrid cars in 2024. The much-loved Swift hatchback is getting a green upgrade with a new-gen hybrid version. The highlight of the new Swift is the debut of the 1.2L Z-series three-cylinder petrol engine, offering both mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid technology. This eco-friendly powertrain not only promises enhanced fuel efficiency but also maintains the driving experience cherished by Swift enthusiasts. The new Swift will be available with manual and automatic transmission options, catering to diverse driving preferences.

Accompanying the Swift is its sedan counterpart, the new-gen Maruti Dzire Hybrid. Sharing design elements with the Swift, the Dzire offers a longer boot and an identical equipment list, including a 9-inch touchscreen instrument console, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a 360-degree camera. Both models will feature mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid powertrain options, showcasing Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to providing stylish, high-performing, and eco-conscious vehicles.

The anticipated launch of the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to happen in April 2024, featuring a brand-new exterior and interior design. The company plans to offer the 1.2L Z-Series engine with a strong hybrid system, delivering an impressive mileage of 35 kmpl. Following the Swift’s launch, Maruti Suzuki will unveil the new-gen Dzire, expected to share the same powertrain and innovative features.

Maruti Suzuki’s foray into hybrid technology extends beyond these launches, with plans to introduce a strong hybrid version of the Fronx in 2025. The company already boasts hybrid options like the Grand Vitara and Invicto, offering consumers eco-friendly choices across different automotive segments.
