Visakhapatnam: A massive fire broke out in three coaches of the Korba Express train stationed at Visakhapatnam railway station on Sunday. The incident occurred in the morning while the train was on platform number 4, en route from Korba to Tirupati.

The fire, which is believed to have started due to an electrical short circuit near the A1 coach, quickly spread to the M1, B7, and B6 AC coaches. Passengers immediately alerted the authorities, prompting railway officials to act swiftly. The Railway fire brigade personnel arrived promptly, preventing a major disaster by bringing the flames under control.

Thanks to the quick response, all passengers were safely evacuated. The affected train was originally set to continue its journey to Tirupati after arriving from Korba. An official mentioned that alternative arrangements are being made for the displaced passengers.

The incident highlights the importance of emergency preparedness and the efficiency of railway personnel in handling such critical situations.
