Mathur community in Pune ‘get-together’
A get together event was organised by the Mathur community living in the city, on November 20th, Sunday, at the Poona Club.
A majority of the community members living in the city attended the event which had cultural programmes like dance, music and games, lined up. A special Mrs. Mathur Pune contest was also organised.
The first set of Mathurs migrated to Pune as early as 1970S and slowly, their number increased. There is a sizable number of Mathur families in Pune now. There are many families who have settled down here permanently, acknowledging Pune to be the good city to live in.
