Meeting Scheduled To Address Road Widening On Pune-Bengaluru National Highway Near Warje And VadgaonÂ
Union Road Minister Nitin Gadkari has called a meeting on Monday to discuss the road widening work on the Warje-Vadgaon-Narhe stretch of the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway, near Chandni Chowk. The widening project has become crucial due to increasing traffic congestion.
Baramati MP Supriya Sule has been actively involved in addressing the issue. She consistently raised concerns about the narrowing of the road at the Warje flyover and near the Mutha River bridge. This narrowing has created significant traffic hurdles.
In response to these issues, the Ministry of Roads and Highways has sanctioned ₹52 crore for the road widening work. This funding aims to alleviate the traffic problems and improve road safety on this vital stretch.
Sachin Dodke, an NCP leader from Warje, had also brought up the issue with Gadkari earlier. According to Dodke, Sule’s persistent efforts led to the approval of the necessary funds for the project.
The upcoming meeting will focus on finalizing the details and ensuring the timely completion of the widening work. This project is expected to ease traffic congestion and enhance travel efficiency on the Pune-Bengaluru route.
