Pune: Ambadas Danve, Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council has raised a question for the Shinde-Fadnavis Maharashtra government that Metro is of Pune. But why are advertisements for Metro recruitment published in Bihar newspapers?

As per further information, Danve gave instructions to the Pune metro administration that priority should be given to Bhoomi Putras (Pune persons) in Pune Metro by placing advertisements in local newspapers of Pune.

Danve reviewed the Metro work on Friday while visiting the Pune Metro Office at Shivaji Nagar. Danve stated that parking arrangements are made at only 7 out of 30 stations. Delayed works should be completed quickly.

Works on the proposed routes should be started immediately. Emphasis should be placed on increasing passenger numbers.

Danve challenged the incumbent state government by stating that the Pune Metro project was expected to be done much earlier. However, those who are capitalizing on this work today are the ones who have opposed the metro. Meanwhile, Danve also suggested that the names of Shivaji Nagar Metro station, Sambhaji Udyan should be kept as ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Nagar’ and ‘Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Park’.

When Metro officials stated that two places have been allotted for the metro depot. However, the metro depot for Kothrud has been dumped in the garbage depot. Hearing this, former MLA Chandrakant Mokate got angry & asked about what is a garbage depot.

It has been shifted to Phursungi long back. Shiva Shrishti was going to take place in the present spot. It did not happen because of Metro. When Devendra Fadnavis was the Chief Minister, this strategic area was given to the Metro by consensus in the meeting.
