Pimpri-Chinchwad, known as a city of workers, is home to numerous workers in small and medium enterprises. Currently, these workers, union representatives, often travel to Pune and Mumbai for labor-management disputes due to the absence of a local labor court. The foundation for a Pimpri-Chinchwad labor court complex has been laid in Moshi. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Mahesh Landge has pledged to make every effort to establish a labor court in the city soon.

An appreciation meeting was organized on behalf of Mahindra & Mahindra Company workers. Members of the Swabhimani Shramik Sangathan, Mahindra and Mahindra vehicles, logistics, and heavy engine participated in the event.

MLA Landge, former mayor Rahul Jadhav, leaders of the Swabhimani Shramik Sangathan Rohidas Gade, President Jeevan Yalwande, Tata Motors Car Plant’s Yogesh Talekar, along with Mahindra employees Pradeep Talekar, Rahul Talekar, Pankaj Landge, Ajay Ghadge, Shubham Bavle, Sachin Vahile, Suraj Landge, Akash Gavhane, Ganesh Bhujbal, Sachin Dhapte, Sujoy Bhalekar, Santosh Bhujbal, Vikram Patil, Praveen Nale, Raju Madge, and Prashant Mhaske were present. The event was hosted by Sachin Dhapte.

During the conference, Landge highlighted his commitment to fostering a harmonious relationship between workers and management. He has successfully mediated disputes in the past, ensuring a supportive environment for workers. Landge emphasized his dedication to securing minimum wages and essential benefits, which have helped many workers achieve stability in their jobs. The Bharatiya Janata Party has given Landge an opportunity for a ‘hat-trick’ victory this election cycle, and workers are optimistic about capitalizing on this chance.

Workers Demand ESIC Hospital in the Area

At the conference, workers expressed concerns about the ESIC hospital in Mohan Nagar, Chinchwad, which requires workers from the Bhosari assembly constituency to travel long distances for medical services. In emergencies, workers are exhausted by the time they reach the hospital. Therefore, there is a demand for an ESIC hospital within the Bhosari area.

“Pimpri-Chinchwad is an industrial city, and it is this industrial development that has shaped the urban landscape. The standard of living for residents has improved due to this industrialization. I believe that workers are the backbone of this city. I have always been committed to providing everything necessary for these workers, and I will continue to do so. It is my responsibility to ensure the availability of an ESIC hospital and a labor court for the workers. After a long-standing issue of the city court complex was resolved through continuous efforts over the past 10 years, I assure all workers that no issues will remain pending in the future,” says Mahesh Landge, MLA, Bhosari Assembly
