Pune News: Fire at a Warehouse in Vadki at Midnight; Blaze Brought Under Control
Pune – Last night at 12:05 AM, a fire was reported at a warehouse in Pawar Mala, Saswad Road, Vadki. Upon receiving the alert, fire brigades from Kale Borate Nagar, Hadapsar, and Kondhwa Budruk were dispatched with one water tanker, making a total of three vehicles.
Upon arriving at the scene, the fire crew found that the warehouse, approximately 30×20 feet with a tin shed, was engulfed in flames. The firefighters first ensured no one was inside, broke the main door using firefighting tools, and entered the premises. They controlled the fire by dousing it with water from all sides, eventually extinguishing it completely and averting further danger. The warehouse was divided into two sections and contained scrap materials like paper, glass bottles, mobile batteries, cardboard, and other waste, all of which were completely burned. A two-wheeler parked there was also destroyed. The cause of the fire is unknown. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.
