MP Murlidhar Mohol Reviews Runway Expansion Of Pune Airport Â
In a move aimed at increasing the number of international flights from Pune following the upgrade of its infrastructure, work on the runway expansion at Pune International Airport is progressing rapidly. A detailed review meeting was held today to assess the current status of the project.
Murlidhar Mohol, Minister for State Civil Aviation and Cooperation and Pune MP informed about the meeting on his X handle.
Key topics discussed included land acquisition, construction of alternative roads, road widening, and technical aspects of the expansion. Instructions were given to fast-track all related procedures during discussions with representatives from the airport authority, municipal corporation, traffic police, and the Indian Air Force.
The meeting was attended by Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, District Collector Jitendra Dudi, Additional Divisional Commissioner Kavita Dwivedi, Group Captain Kuldeep Singh and Group Captain Sachin Arora from the Indian Air Force, Airport Director Santosh Dhoke, City Engineer Shri Prashant Waghmare, Deputy Commissioner Vanashree Labhshetwar, Head of Road Department Aniruddha Pawaskar, and Jagdish Urkude from the Airports Authority of India.
