An E-Shivneri bus operated by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) on a wet lease met with an accident near Sion on Monday morning. The incident occurred at around 5:31 am when the bus, traveling from Dadar to Pune, veered off the road and climbed onto a divider near the Sion Police Station.
According to MSRTC officials, the front part of the bus sustained minor damage, but all passengers escaped uninjured. Immediate action was taken, and a replacement bus was arranged from the Dadar stand to ensure the passengers continued their journey safely.
The police responded quickly to manage traffic congestion in the area following the incident. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Factors under review include the bus driver’s actions, the condition of the vehicle, and the road situation at the time of the incident. Once the investigation is complete, appropriate action will be taken if any negligence is found.
