Two women in Pune died by suicide in separate incidents, reportedly due to harassment by their husbands. Police have registered cases at the Kondhwa and Airport Police Stations, and investigations are underway.

In the first case, 26-year-old Nayana Prakash Maghade, a resident of Sant Nagar, Lohgaon, took her own life by hanging. According to the complaint filed by her brother, Jay Kharat (28), Nayana had been married to Prakash Maghade for four years. The complaint states that Prakash often demanded money from Nayana, pressuring her to bring it from her parents. Fed up with the ongoing harassment, Nayana ended her life. The Airport Police Station has registered a case against Prakash, and Assistant Police Inspector Santosh Shinde is leading the investigation.

In the second incident, 36-year-old Ashwini Rahul Mane, a resident of Kondhwa, died by suicide, also by hanging. Ashwini’s mother filed a complaint against her husband, Rahul Mane, and a female relative. According to the complaint, Rahul frequently accused Ashwini of infidelity and subjected her to physical abuse. Unable to cope with the continuous harassment, Ashwini took this tragic step. The Kondhwa Police Station has registered a case, and Assistant Police Inspector Rakesh Jadhav is handling the investigation.

Both incidents highlight the issue of domestic abuse and its severe impact on victims. The police have initiated legal action against the accused husbands, and further investigations are in progress to gather evidence and hold those responsible accountable. Authorities are urging anyone experiencing similar abuse to seek help and support before the situation escalates.
