Reliance to hold 70% stake, Meta’s Facebook Overseas to own remaining 30% in new enterprise AI company
Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries has joined hands with Meta Platforms to establish a new artificial intelligence services venture in India. As per a regulatory filing, Facebook Overseas — a subsidiary of Meta — will own a 30 per cent stake, while Reliance will retain a majority 70 per cent share through its subsidiary, Reliance Intelligence Ltd.
The new entity, named Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd (REIL), was incorporated on October 24, 2025 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Intelligence. Following an amended and restated joint venture agreement, REIL will now function as the official joint venture between Reliance and Facebook Overseas.

Reliance Intelligence and Facebook Overseas have jointly committed an initial investment of ₹855 crore to develop this AI initiative. The company will focus on creating, marketing and distributing advanced enterprise AI services across sectors.
The filing clarified that no governmental or regulatory approvals were required for the incorporation of REIL, as it was formed under existing legal provisions.
With this collaboration, Reliance aims to strengthen its AI-driven enterprise solutions ecosystem, while Meta’s involvement marks a deeper strategic entry into India’s enterprise technology landscape.
