Pune Crime: Love Triangle Turns Deadly, 23-Year-Old Harsh Allegedly Killed by Friend Over Same Woman
Pune, 20 June, 2026: A dispute over a young woman allegedly led to the murder of a 23-year-old man in Pune’s Gokhalenagar area. Police have arrested three accused from Navi Mumbai, and preliminary investigations suggest that the attackers were close friends of the victim.
The deceased has been identified as Harsh Machhindra Jadhav (23). The arrested accused are Abhishek Pawar, Prathamesh Dhotre, and Maruti Devkar.
According to police, Harsh and the accused had been friends for a long time. However, tensions had been growing between them for the past six months over a romantic relationship involving a young woman.
Investigators said that two days before the incident, Harsh allegedly went to one of the accused’s house in an intoxicated state and created a disturbance. Police suspect the accused later planned the attack as an act of revenge.
Harsh was allegedly assaulted with a baseball bat during the attack. He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
