Pune: Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) witnessed a record-breaking single-day air traffic movement with 1,032 air traffic movements on November 11 i.e. Saturday.As per information, the CSMIA of Mumbai set a new record with 516,562 passenger movements between November 11 and November 13.

On November 11, CSMIA handled 1,032 air traffic movements (ATMs), setting a new record for a single day.Travel during the holiday season increased and from November 11 to November 13, CSMIA handled 516,562 passenger movements as a whole. Of them, 162,021 passengers travelled internationally and 354,541 passengers travelled domestically, according to a statement released by CSMIA authorities.

They claimed that the increased passenger flow was a result of the extended Diwali holiday, which highlighted the airport’s importance as a major hub for travel.Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai were the most popular domestic travel destinations; Dubai, London, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore were the most popular international travel destinations.This inflow demonstrates CSMIA’s capacity to handle growing air traffic while upholding strict safety, security, and passenger service standards.
