During a meeting at the Sahyadri Guest House, the Chief Minister assessed the proposed plans from the Higher and Technical Education, Forest, and Agriculture Departments. He emphasized the importance of technology in tackling urgent challenges and encouraged the Forest Department to utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information Technology (IT) to effectively address human-wildlife conflicts.
Fadnavis called for the creation of a rapid rescue team that would be well-trained to manage emergencies resulting from such conflicts. Furthermore, he proposed developing a policy to set up a carbon credit company and advocated for the use of the Miyawaki method to enhance urban afforestation.
In his address to the Agriculture Department, Fadnavis emphasized the need for farmer-focused initiatives that would provide direct benefits to the agricultural community. He also encouraged the Higher and Technical Education Department to focus on attracting international universities to Maharashtra and establishing world-class educational centers to improve the state’s academic environment.
