Mumbai Pune Expressway : Car catches fire near Khandala exit : No injuries reported

In a tragic incident, a car engulfed in flames near the Khandala exit on Mumbai Pune expressway. The incident took place approximately at 7.30 PM today.

The accident took place at Khandala limits at 48.100 kms wherein a Duster vehicle caught fire. The incident led to congestion on Pune lane. The traffic was regularised at 20.20 hours. Slow moving traffic is reported in Borghat section.

According to reports, a car was travelling from Mumbai to Pune at high speed was nearing the Khandala exit when the vehicle caught fire. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire. There were no reports of injury in the incident.
