Mumbai Pune Expressway : Shivneri Bus Collides with Cargo Truck Near Kiwale ; No casualties reported

A speeding Shivneri bus rammed a cargo truck from behind on a sharp incline at Km. 94 Kiwale exit on the Mumbai Pune expressway. There were total 26 passengers in the bus. Fortunately, there was no loss of life. Due to this accident, there was a traffic jam on this patch of the expressway.

During the accident, the cargo truck overturned. Also, the Shivneri bus has suffered major damage.

This bus was going to Swargate from Thane carrying passengers. The truck was carrying plastic pulp goods. The cargo truck was going towards Sangli.

The bus driver could not control the speed due to the steep slope. Hence, the accident took place. 

After the accident, there was a huge traffic jam on the Pune lane of the expressway. With the help of the highway state police and Ravet police, the work of removing the accident vehicle is underway on the highway.
