Mumbai Pune Solapur Vande Bharat Express : Train delays for 40 times in 90 days

The ‘Vande Bharat Express’, which is considered to be the fastest and most punctual of the country, is seen to be repeatedly delayed in reaching Pune in the past few years. In the last three months, it has come to light that ‘Vande Bharat’, which is coming from Mumbai to Pune and from Solapur to Pune, has been delayed more than 40 times.

The maximum delay happened for 18 to 20 days in October. Passengers are being affected by it and the passengers are expressing their expectation that the schedule of this train should be followed properly.

Vande Bharat Express is known as the fastest train of the country. The Prime Minister’s Office is paying special attention to this train. There are instructions that the timing of this train should be strictly followed. For this train, other trains are stopped aside and ‘Vande Bharat’ is given way ahead. As other trains are sidelined, their schedule is also affected. However, for the past few days, it is seen that ‘Vande Bharat’ is getting delayed due to various reasons.

It includes some technical reasons as well as some other reasons. Due to the delay of this train, the passengers are suffering. The delay time for ‘Vande Bharat’ varies from two minutes to one hour. Compared to August and September, it seems that the rate of delay of ‘Vande Bharat’ has increased in October.

Dr Ramdas Bhise, DCM & PRO, Pune Railway Division, said that constant efforts are made to run as per Vande Bharat’ schedule. The Vande Bharat schedule has been observed more than 90 percent times in the last three months. Vande Bharat was delayed quite a few times due to some technical reason. The delay time is also five to seven minutes.
