Mumbai: In a shocking incident, 41-year-old animation filmmaker Nishant Tripathi was found dead in a 5-star hotel in Vile Parle East on February 28, 2025. Before taking his life, he left a heart-wrenching note on his company’s website, blaming his wife Apoorva Parik (36) and her aunt Prarthana Arya (50) for his tragic decision.

According to police reports, Nishant had been staying at the Sahara Star Hotel for three days before he was found hanging in the bathroom of room number 4023. The hotel staff discovered his body when he failed to respond to knocks on the door.

His mother, Neelam Chaturvedi (64), a social worker from Kanpur, filed an FIR against Apoorva and Prarthana under Section 108 (Abetment of Suicide) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Airport Police Station on March 3.

Nishant’s suicide note, published on his company’s website, contained emotional words directed at his wife, expressing both love and despair. He alleged that his mental, physical, and financial destruction was due to harassment by Apoorva and Prarthana.

Authorities are investigating whether Nishant was under extreme mental stress or faced psychological and financial torment. His postmortem was conducted on March 2, and his last rites were performed in Santacruz, Mumbai.
