‘Nadi ki Pathasala’ – A unique initiative launched by Fergusson College to highlight water issues

In order to create awareness on nature conservation, ‘Nadi Ki Pathshala’ – an initiative was inaugurated at Ferguson College, Deccan Education Society.

The event was organized by Ferguson College, Jalbiradari, Vanrai, Agriculture College, Savitribai Phule Pune University. SPPU Vice Chancellor Nitin Karmalkar, Yashada’s Director General S. Sunil Bhasalkar, Ravindra Dharia, President of Vanrai, Dr.Ravindra Singh Pardeshi, Sumant Pandey, Amit Wadekar were present for the event.

The current state of rivers in the country is very pathetic and in extremely polluted state. The issues like water pollution, declining groundwater level, water management have become serious issues of concern. The administration and the society needs to work together to solve this problem with help of students while connecting to their academics.
