In compliance with the Supreme Court’s directive, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has decided to prominently display larger disclaimers on all its advertisements featuring the ‘clock’ symbol. This decision comes after the apex court instructed the Ajit Pawar-led faction to include disclaimers in every advertisement, acknowledging that the symbol allocation is subject to the court’s final decision.

During a meeting chaired by Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, and the party’s state unit chief, Sunil Tatkare, on Thursday, it was emphasized that party workers at every level, up to the district level, must ensure the inclusion of larger disclaimers on all promotional materials, including advertisements, templates, pamphlets, and banners featuring the ‘clock’ symbol. This measure aims to prevent any potential contempt of court.

A senior NCP functionary affirmed the party’s commitment to strictly adhere to the Supreme Court’s order, ensuring full compliance with the directive regarding disclaimer size and content. Additionally, the city and district units have been instructed to refrain from using photographs of Sharad Pawar, the party’s founder, on advertisements and banners to avoid any ambiguity or misinterpretation.

This proactive step by the NCP reflects its determination to prevent any further legal disputes and demonstrate respect for the judicial process. By adhering to the apex court’s directives, the party aims to uphold transparency and integrity in its communications, while also respecting the ongoing legal proceedings regarding the symbol allocation.
