New 50 oxygen bed facility for Covid patients in Wanowrie gets power supply within 7 hours

Pune Municipal Corporation is building up a 50 bed oxygen facility to treat Covid patients at the PMC building in KPCT Mall C Wing, first floor, near Vishal Mega Mart Mall in Fatima Nagar for which Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited’s St Mary’s division provided power supply within seven hours with a three phase power connection.
In Pune circle, over five Covid centers as per their request and demand MSEDCL has provided power connections in 24-48 hours.
MSEDCL since the Covid19 pandemic has been providing power supply to several facilities such as covid Hospitals, oxygen generation plants, vaccination centers.
Minister for state, power supply Nitin Raut had issued cleared guidelines and each of the power supply office is working efficiently on the same.
PMC had written to MSEDCL on May 4, 2021 about seeking help in supplying power at the Rasta Peth office at St Mary’s division of the power firm. The letter mentioned the requirement of 30 mega watt for new connections. Immediate survey of the location was done and PMC was asked to pay the quotation for power supply which was promptly done by PMC. Following this the work was expedited to install meters, and cables and the same day by 7 pm power supply began.
