New storm water lines to be laid in Pimple Saudagar
The last few rains in the city led to water logging at many places across Pimple Saudagar recently. This led to vehicles getting stuck in deep water leaving them stranded for hours before the water receded.
The issue only highlighted the importance of having strong storm water lines which will take high flow of water and avoid water logging.
“We have seen in the last few rains, there used to be a huge water logging in various societies, BRTS lanes, PK Chowk, Zinzurde Farms etc.,” said local Corporator Shatrughan Kate.
To avoid such water logging in the future and on the instructions from MLA Laxman Jagtap, recently corporator Shatrughna Kate inspected the area to ascertain the reason for such water logging. It was found that the water logging was caused due to insufficient size of the storm water line. It was immediately decided to lay down the new storm water line which can handle such heavy rains.”
During this inspections there were many local residents who were present along with officials from PCMC, Smart City Dept, BRTS Dept, like Rajan Patil, Shrikant Sawane, Dewa Anna Guttavar, Manoj Sethia, Kolhe, Kashid, Naresh Jadhav and Abhijit Dhade.
