Gregory Pillay of NIBM Road Extension Association said, “Residents of the area were tired of the many chronic garbage spots, encroachments, general uncleanliness and we’re inspired by the work done recently in the Mohamadwadi area and decided to take action to transform this area too.”
Residents pooled in their money and time and with support from Col Deepak, Puneeta Ranjan and the Pune Waste Warriors took the initiative to get the area cleaned and beautified. Residents young and old from societies like Runwal Daffodils, Palace Orchard, Kumar Princetown, Hills and Dales not only contributed funds from their own pocket but also toiled from 7 in the morning to beautify this area.

Local activists of this area Gregory Pillai, Czarina Bhojwani, Nergiz Jamshedji along with Col Deepak Kumar feel this is just the beginning and request the help of PMC authorities and local politicians to complete several development works this area badly needs.
