The state government has announced a list of 25 public holidays, including three additional holidays falling on the second Saturdays and Sundays. Notably, nine of these holidays will align with either Mondays or Fridays, offering the opportunity for extended weekends throughout the year 2024.

In 2024, nine holidays will conveniently fall on either a Monday or Friday, allowing for prolonged weekends. Specifically, on Monday, January 15, 2024, Ugadi, Eid-e-Milad on September 16, and Kanakadas Jayanti on November 18 will be observed.

As per the information provided, holidays will include January 26 for Republic Day, March 8 for Maha Shivratri, March 29 for Good Friday, May 10 for Akshaya Tritiya, October 11 for Ayudha Puja, and November 1 for Kannada Rajyotsava.

Additionally, Mahavir Jayanti falls on April 21 and Vijayadashami on October 12, both occurring on the second Saturday. Ambedkar Jayanti is observed on April 14. Furthermore, September 3 will be a holiday exclusively for Kodagu district in celebration of Kail Muhurat. Additionally, there will be a holiday on October 17 and Huttari on December 14.
