Following the collapse of a hoarding in the Sai Satyam Park area of Wagholi, the Nagar Road Regional Office has issued a notice to the hoarding owner seeking clarification. Additionally, car owners affected by the incident have lodged complaints with the police.

The collapse, caused by rain and strong winds on Wednesday evening, resulted in damage to three to four cars and caused a temporary jam on the Pune Nagar highway. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported.

The incident has raised concerns among citizens about the structural integrity of hoardings in Wagholi, prompting demands for prompt structural audits and removal of unauthorized plaques.

The Regional Officer of Nagar Road, Somnath Bankar, has assured that further action will be taken after inquiries into the incident and the complaints lodged by car owners.

In response to citizen demands, efforts are being made to promptly clean rain drains, conduct structural audits of hoardings, and remove unauthorized plaques to prevent similar incidents in the future. Citizens are urging swift action to avoid such mishaps, particularly as the rainy season approaches.
