IRCTC signs MoU with MSRTC – Travellers can now book their journey of any mode from the IRCTC portal.

IRCTC, since its inception in 1999, has been striving to make its impact in the Hospitality, Travel and Tourism verticals and coming up as a One Stop Shop Solution for its end users. 

With more than 75% of the travellers now booking their rail journey tickets from its online ticketing portal, IRCTC is adding a new feather to its ever-evolving role of a Travel facilitator.

IRCTC is pleased to announce the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) to enable MSRTC’s online bus booking services via IRCTC’s bus booking portal/website, accessible at https://www.bus.irctc.co.in.

CMD-IRCTC informed that, “the signing of the MOU between IRCTC and MSRTC is a significant milestone in enhancing passenger experience by allowing them to simplify their travel arrangements from a single point. This integration will give the passengers the advantage of seamless access to last-mile connectivity via the IRCTC Bus Booking Portal, ensuring a smooth journey.”

MSRTC will provide API’s of its online bus ticketing system to IRCTC who in turn will Integrate MSRTC Bus Ticketing APIs on its website www.bus.irctc.co.in and Mobile Apps. The Scope of work will be defined broadly in the agreement on mutually agreed terms.

The detailed roles & responsibilities of IRCTC & MSRTC will be finalized for executing the above project in coordination by both parties.
The Ceremony witnessed the exchange of MoU Folders between CMD/IRCTC and Principal Secretary/Transport in the August Presence of Chief Minister, Maharashtra Eknath Shinde.

“We are in a constant endeavour to make travelling more comfortable and convenient for the end users of IRCTC. This MoU will play an important role in allowing our patrons to plan every aspect of their travelling – Rail, Bus, Air,Sea  as well as  Accommodation”, said Smt. Seema Kumar, CMD-IRCTC.
