Odissi Classical dance workshop held in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Army Area Pune
On Wednesday, 22nd November 2023, a Odissi Classical dance workshop was conducted by artist Ishita Ganguly at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Army Area Pune to inculcate and enlighten students about the basics of Odissi Dance.
This workshop was an initiative by Routes 2 Roots who aims at reaching out to even the remotest cities to help students inculcate art and culture. It helped to promote the art of Odissi dance in their region and gave an opportunity to young adults to build confidence and self-esteem.
Routes 2 Roots is a non-profit organization that promotes peace and understanding through cultural exchange. Founded in 2004, the organization has worked with over 100 countries to bring people together through music, dance, art, and other forms of cultural expression.
Routes 2 Roots believes that culture is a powerful force for good in the world. When people from different cultures come together to share their stories and experiences, it can break down barriers and build bridges of understanding. This understanding is essential for creating a more peaceful and just world.
With the help of teachers and respected principal of KV, Army Area Pune- Dr. Malvika Malik, the workshop was a great success.
