On Camera: Gurgaon Software Engineer Brutally Assaulted, Sports Bike Smashed by SUV Goons, Four arrested
Victim tracked attackers using AI after police delayed action; viral video shows savage daylight assault near Dwarka Expressway.
Two days after a software developer was assaulted and his high-end sports bike vandalised in Gurgaon, police arrested four men on Tuesday in connection with the incident. A video of the attack, widely circulated on social media, showed the men using sticks to damage the bike and physically assaulting the developer, despite his repeated pleas to be spared.

Hardik Sharma (32), a software developer with a leading food delivery platform, was reportedly attacked on Sunday morning by four individuals travelling in an SUV. The incident occurred near Dwarka Expressway while Sharma was riding with a bikers’ group en route to Manesar.
Sharma alleged that the SUV overtook the bikers recklessly. The assailants, allegedly intoxicated and armed with steel rods and baseball bats, targeted the group. Sharma, a Gurgaon resident since 2023, recounted how one of the men struck him on the head with a rod, and credited his helmet with saving his life. He still sustained four head injuries, later confirmed in a medical report.

The attackers also severely damaged Sharma’s Kawasaki ZX-4R, breaking its fairing panels, lights, and fuel tank.
Sharma expressed frustration over the police response, stating that it took 12 hours to get his complaint registered. “The incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. We reached a police station by 8 a.m., but were sent from one station to another for several hours. Once we reached the right station, it still took another six hours to file the FIR,” he said.
Sharma also claimed that he received no updates from the police and that all charges filed against the accused were bailable, which left him dissatisfied. “They aren’t answering my calls or giving any updates,” he said.
In a bid to identify the accused, Sharma turned to technology. Using a paid artificial intelligence tool, he uploaded video and photo evidence, which helped trace the social media profiles of the suspects. “We located their Instagram accounts and even identified the gym they worked out at. We shared all of this with the police,” he said.
The viral videos and mounting public outrage prompted swift action, leading to the arrests.
