Pune Municipal Corporation Adds 24 New Online Services To Its Website
The official Pune Municipal Corporation website — https://services.pmc.gov.in — has introduced 24 new online services.
These services have been launched under the Maharashtra Right to Public Services Act, 2015, to ensure that various civic services are available digitally. The PMC has been progressively implementing several services under this Act. As part of the state government’s 100-day, 7-point action plan, these 24 new services have been developed using modern technology.
Newly Added Services:
Water Supply Department:
- Modify water connection size
- Change in ownership
- Reconnection of water supply
- Plumber license issuance/renewal
- Temporary or permanent disconnection of water connection
- Change in usage category
- Pipe repair services
Sky Sign Department:
- Transfer of license
- Issuance of duplicate license
- Change in license holder/partner’s name
- Change in business type
- License cancellation
- Change in number of partners (increase/decrease)
- Change in business name
Encroachment Removal Department:
- Permit for storing construction materials or erecting temporary structures on public roads
- Permission for setting up mandaps/arches
- Changing business period classification for certified vendors
- Issuance of duplicate certificate/ID for registered vendors
- Transfer of vendor certificate/ID to a legal heir
Health Department:
- New licenses for selling beef, pork, mutton, chicken, fish
- License renewals
- License cancellations for the same categories
Sewerage Department:
- Sewerage connection services
The revamped website was inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Bhosale, Hon. Commissioner and Administrator of the Pune Municipal Corporation. Present at the event were Additional Municipal Commissioner (General) M.J. Pradeep Chandran, Chief Engineer of Road Department Aniruddha Pawaskar, Chief Engineer of Water Supply Department Nandkishore Jagtap, Deputy Commissioner Pratibha Patil, Head of IT Department Rahul Jagtap, along with other officials and staff.
These online RTS (Right to Services) initiatives aim to make public services more transparent, prompt, and time-bound, encouraging efficient and open governance. PMC urges citizens to actively use this digital platform and avail of these services online.
