One Dead, Several Injured in Blast at Maharashtra's Bhandara Ordnance Factory
Bhandara, Maharashtra: At least one person was killed, and several others were injured in a blast at the Ordnance Factory Bhandara in Jawaharnagar tehsil of Maharashtra’s Bhandara district on Friday.
According to initial reports, 12 people were present at the factory at the time of the incident. Rescue teams have managed to save two individuals so far, and efforts are ongoing to locate and assist the remaining people. Medical teams are also on-site to provide emergency care to the injured.

The factory, located in the Satpura mountain ranges, is a key defense production facility specializing in the manufacture of single-base propellants, double-base propellants (Ballistite and Rocket), high explosives, and their compounds.
The site of the blast is approximately 40 kilometers away from Ambhora, a popular tourist spot where the Vainganga, Aam, Jam, Sur, and Kanhan rivers converge.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, and further details are awaited. Rescue operations are still underway.
