In an effort to support micro, small & medium businesses, the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Indian Defence Forces will participate in the first Maharashtra Defence Expo, scheduled for February 17–19 in Pune.

According to state government officials, the expo, which attracts a lot of micro, small & medium businesses, is also intended to promote Maharashtra as a center for defense manufacturing.

According to them, the defense company Nibe Limited is the exhibition’s knowledge partner, and it will take place at the Pune International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Maharashtra is home to numerous defense Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Ordnance Factories, and DRDO laboratories, all of which are part of the nation’s defense ecosystem. Additionally, the state boasts a strong network of more than 12,500 MSMEs.

By giving well-known business leaders, creative startups, and dynamic MSMEs a stage to showcase their skills & capabilities, the event hopes to promote cooperation and unleash huge potential in the defense industry.

About 10,000 students from different Maharashtrian universities and engineering colleges will also be attending the event.

According to an official, this offers students a once-in-a-lifetime chance to network with business experts who work closely with the defense industry.
