P. K Chowk – Kunjir Chowk approach road nearing completion

P. K Chowk – Kunjir Chowk, an approach road to Jarvari society in Pimple Saudagar is cleared for further development after ten long years of follow up by the locals and the public representatives. The construction of the 18 meter concrete road with footpath at the either side is cleared from any obstacle as the land owned by a few locals will be finally taken under possession of PCMC.

According to the information obtained, the locals had reached out area corporators, Shatrughan Kate and Nirmala Kute, a number of times, citing the problems while travelling in and out of the Jarvari Society. The question will finally come to end as PCMC Commissioner held a meeting with area corporators, Shatrughan Kate and Nirmala Kute, and approved the funds to the land owners in form of TDR.

While talking with Pune Pulse, Shatrughan Kate said, “For the last ten years, the proposed work was pending due to land possesion problem. However, on 15/12/20, a meeting was held with the commissioner and the issue was cleared. I was personally following up on the issue since 2012, and this has come as a huge win for us. MLA Laxman Jagtap kept supporting us to resolve the issue.”

Nirmala Kute, one of the area corporators who was leading from front to resolve the issue, said, “We took a meeting with the commissioner and ensured that we would sanction the payment through TDR to the land owner. Without any help from MLA Laxman Jagtap, this wouldn’t have been possible.”
