Pune, August 28, 2025 – Parents have expressed strong outrage over an incident at DES (Deccan Education Society) H.A. School, where students were reportedly humiliated for non-payment of fees.

According to parents, school authorities allegedly clicked photos of students who had pending fees and shared them in a parents’ WhatsApp group, digitally masking their faces. Despite the attempt to hide identities, the act has caused deep embarrassment and mental distress for the children.

Parents claim that the pictures were taken in front of classmates, leaving the students feeling humiliated. They have condemned the school’s method, calling it a violation of child rights and basic human dignity.

“Educational institutions are meant to guide and support children, not shame them publicly,” one parent said, demanding strict action against those responsible.

Parents have urged the administration to explore sensitive and constructive approaches to fee recovery, emphasizing that students should never be targeted or penalized for financial disputes between schools and parents.

The incident has sparked widespread debate on ethical practices in schools and the urgent need for child-centric policies in handling fee-related matters.
