Three people trying to deboard moving Deccan Queen Express on Kalyan Station met with an accident, wherein one person died while two others were injured. These passengers fell on the track. 

The accident took place when the Deccan Queen Express was arriving at the Kalyan railway station.

As per further information, as the Deccan Queen Express does not stop at Kalyan station, the incident is said to have taken place when the train slowed down a little when the passengers were trying to deboard the train. The incident took place on platform number 7 in Kalyan station.

Sachin Bansal, PRO, Mumbai Railway Division, said “The Deccan Queen Express doesn’t stop at Kalyan Railway Station. However, 3 passengers tried to jump out of the train as, perhaps, they wanted to get off on the station. In that, all of them fell brutally. One has died on the spot & 2 have been seriously injured who have been taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.”

Passengers were trying to deboard the Deccan Queen when it arrived at the Kalyan railway station. The train was heading towards Pune. At this time three people fell on the track and one died on the spot. Two others are seriously injured. After the accident, the injured were admitted to a Hospital in Kalyan for treatment. The guards at the station immediately helped to take the injured for treatment.

Deccan Queen Express does not stop at Kalyan Railway Station. But the speed of the express slows down a bit at the station. At this time, passengers risk their lives and try to deboard or alight the express. The railway authorities stated that passengers should not indulge in such acts which proves fatal.
