PCMC gears up for Ganesh Visarjan Preparations: Sets Up Immerssion Tanks

Pune: Chariots decorated with flowers will be made available for the collection of idols & Nirmalya through each zonal office of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). 

Also, idol collection centers are going to be available in all the wards, informed PCMC. 

As per information, PCMC has appealed to the citizens and the mandals to donate Ganesh idols. Also, it has appealed citizens to immerse Ganesh idols at home. Ganesh mandals should prefer to do proper immersion of Ganesh idols in an artificial tank under the Mandal.

It was clarified by the Municipal Corporation that the Ganesh idols collected by them will be immersed following proper rituals.

The Municipal Corporation has provided facilities for the devotees at all immersion ghats in the city. 

Ganpati Idol Immersion Ghats : 

Indrayani River Immersion Ghat at Moshi, Jadhav Immersion Ghat at Ravet, Thergaon Chinchwad Bridge Immersion Ghat, Subhash Ghat at Chinchwad, Punyashlok Ahlyadevi Ghat at Pimple Gurav, Vetal Maharaj Ghat at Sangvi, Immersion Ghat at Wakad Village, Vaibhavnagar, Artificial Immersion Ghats at Pimpri are ready.

Directional boards, Nirmalyakund, lifeguards, fire extinguishing systems, and disaster management systems will be kept operational at the ghats. Also, arrangements for drinking water will be there for the citizens. PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh has given instructions to the concerned zonal officers and employees that beautification should be done on immersion ghats.

Ambulances equipped with medical teams will be deployed on behalf of the Municipal Corporation at major Ganesh Visarjan Ghats in the city. Medical officers, nurses, and sweepers are included in the team.
