PCMC invites design solutions for the public, community toilets
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has invited suggestions from the citizens under the ‘Toilets 2.0: Design toilets’ competition.The best innovative design solution for public and community toilets will be awarded Rs.5 lakh for the first and Rs.3 lakh for the second position.
“The initiative is taken under the Government of India’s Swachh Survekshan. We have invited innovative ideas from citizens regarding the design and solutions of Public or community toilets,” said Ajay Charthankar, Assistant Commissioner, health department, PCMC.
The toilets 2.0 campaign has been launched by the Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The campaign aims to change the face of public and community toilets in urban India through collective action involving citizens and Urban Local Bodies.
The last date to register for the competition is extended to 15 January 2023 and the submission date for the design is extended to 31 January 2023.
