A high-level meeting was held between Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Ravi Landge and Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar to discuss key issues concerning the city’s overall development, civic infrastructure and environmental protection.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the implementation of a Property Tax Amnesty Scheme, water supply management, pre-monsoon drain cleaning, stray dog management, the naming of the Bhosari hospital and conservation of the Indrayani river. With summer approaching, emphasis was laid on water conservation measures, leakage control, tanker planning and completion of ongoing and pending water supply projects within stipulated timelines. The administration also decided to prepare a department-wise action plan for pre-monsoon desilting of drains, gutter repairs and strengthening of the stormwater drainage system.

The issue of stray dogs in the city was also reviewed, with a focus on implementing comprehensive measures within the legal framework. Special emphasis was placed on vaccination drives, sterilisation, public awareness and strengthening the grievance redressal mechanism.

A positive discussion was held regarding naming the newly constructed hospital in Bhosari as “Shraddheya Atal Bihari Vajpayee New Bhosari Hospital,” in honour of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The meeting also addressed pollution control and conservation efforts concerning the Indrayani River. Key measures discussed included river cleanliness drives, industrial effluent control, strengthening of sewage treatment plants (STPs) and preparation of a comprehensive and sustainable conservation plan.

Mayor Landge reiterated his commitment to coordinating closely with the administration to ensure timely and decisive action for the city’s development, environmental protection and the welfare of citizens.
