Pimple Nilakh: The work of erecting a 100-feet flag pole at Pimple Nilakh is going on in full swing and will be completed soon. The flagpole is being installed on BRTS road at Rakshak Chowk in Pimple Nilakh.

Former Corporator Aarti Chondhe along with PCMC officials visited the location to review the status.

The work of the flagpole was started by Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation after getting permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

Indian Army soldiers and residents of Aundh Military Camp have been making this demand for a long time. Accordingly, Aarti Chondhe followed up with the Municipal Corporation after which a proposal was sent to the Lieutenant Colonel of the Military HeadQuarters, 330 Infantry Brigade on behalf of the administration. Subsequently, permission was granted to hoist a 100-feet tall Indian flag permanently at Rakshak Chowk. The flagpole work is now in its final stage.

“Residents demanded that the National flag should always be hoisted in the Pimple Nilakh area. For this, the work of erecting a 100 feet high flagpole was started at Rakshak Chowk within the army limits. It is definitely a matter of pride. The work should be completed before Republic Day,” said Aarti Chondhe, former Corporator.
