PCMC Resolves QR Code Issue For Property Tax Payments, Appeals To Pay Taxes
New Property Tax Assessment Procedure Announced By Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal CorporationÂ
Pimpri-Chinchwad – The property tax collection and assessment department of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced the resolution of technical issues with the QR codes provided for property tax payments. These QR codes were issued with the new tax bills for newly identified properties surveyed by the appointed consultant company.
The city of Pimpri-Chinchwad has begun using advanced drone technology to survey new and expanded properties. The municipal administration estimates the discovery of approximately 200,000 new and expanded properties within the city.
The consultant company appointed by PCMC has issued tax bills to around 5,500 newly identified properties. Each bill included a QR code intended to facilitate immediate payment of property taxes. However, technical issues with these QR codes had prevented property owners from making their payments for the past five to six days. As of Tuesday, July 16, these issues have been resolved.
Nilesh Deshmukh, Assistant Commissioner of the property tax collection and assessment department, urges property owners to promptly scan the QR codes on their bills and make their property tax payments.
