PCMC sets up 24 hour helpline for Covid19 patients

In the past few days, the number of active cases have gone up leading to rise in unavailability of beds for Covid 19 patients in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits. 

The rising number of cases and shortage of beds faced by the citizens, many patients at several hospitals have been kept on hold for several hours till they find a bed. To resolve the problem in finding out the availability of beds, PCMC has released a few helpline numbers for the citizens. These helpline numbers are exclusively made available for Covid19 patients.

Three helpline numbers have been made available. Each helpline has ten connections.

Since the last few weeks, PCMC has recorded over 3000 cases. Helplines have been created to know availability of beds, home isolation helpline and tele – medicine helpline for guidance to the patients.

Helpline for bed management :
Citizens can call on 020 – 67331151 / 67331152.

Other issues : 
Citizens can call on 020 – 67331141 / 42.

Rajesh Patil, commissioner, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation said, “The facility has been set up for the convenience of the citizens who are seeking help in arranging beds for the Covid19 patients. We have set up a team of doctors for online consultation too for those who are under home isolation. There are two doctors who are available 24 hours. Also, a few doctors from PCMC who are regularly in touch with the home isolation patients. Also, more doctors are appointed at the regional ward office level. We will increase the number of doctors as and when need arises.”
