Pimpri: The Tax Assessment and Collection Department of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is actively pursuing defaulters to recover property tax. Measures such as seizing properties and imposing a 2% monthly penalty on outstanding dues are underway. Additionally, water connections of property owners who have not cleared their water tax are being disconnected.

In a creative approach to raise awareness about paying property tax, the department has announced a competition titled “I Am a Responsible Taxpayer.” Participants are invited to create reels, songs, and raps to inspire citizens to pay their taxes. The department has also announced attractive prizes worth lakhs for the winners. Content creators, musicians, and rappers are encouraged to participate and use their artistic skills to urge residents to fulfill their tax responsibilities.
