Students from ITI, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Morwadi and Kasarwadi took up the task of converting waste wood into paintings under the able guidance of Swati Korde. A resident of Palash society in Wakad mentored the students and showed them how they could convert waste wood into paintings which now adorn the walls of the main PCMC office building.

It was Swati Korde and enthusiastic residents of Palash society who took the initiative of creating similar artwork in their premises two years ago. The initiative was noticed by the PCMC authorities and they decided to replicate it.
