Pune, February 26, 2026 – In a world dominated by fleeting digital interactions, Photographers At Pune (P@P) invites the community to witness the profound power of human connection. The collective is proud to announce its 11th major photography exhibition, “Happy Lens” as part of the celebrated Drushtikon 2026 series. The exhibition will be hosted at the Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery from February 27th to March 1st.

The “Happy Lens” project began in 2024 as a deep dive into the authentic stories and smiles of people from all walks of life. Rather than just capturing a frame, P@P members spent two years bridging the gap between “stranger” and “subject.” Through organized photo walks in the vibrant streets of Pune and personal quests into remote villages and quiet corners of the world, they mastered the “Ice-Break”-approaching life with empathy and respect.

In an era of high-speed living, “Happy Lens” serves as a vital reminder of our shared humanity. It is a visual archive of hope showing that despite global challenges, the human spirit remains indomitable.

Founded in 2006 with just six members, P@P has evolved into a massive, non-commercial volunteer collective of more than 10,000 photography enthusiasts. Bound by a shared love for the city of Pune and the art of the lens, members come from every imaginable background-from students and doctors to IT professionals and senior citizens.

A cornerstone of the P@P philosophy is its commitment to accessibility: every single activity organized by the group-including weekly photo walks, technical workshops, seminars, and this grand exhibition-is entirely free and open to all.

11 Exhibitions of Social Impact With this 11th exhibition, P@P continues its noble tradition of “Photography for a Cause.” Over the years, the group has used its platform to support significant social issues. Continuing this legacy, a portion of the contributions for Drushtikon 2026 is dedicated to sponsoring the education of children with special needs through Vidya Mahamandal, an NGO that empowers specially-abled children. Voluntary donations from visitors also go directly to this cause, ensuring the exhibition leaves a lasting footprint of hope.
