Pimpri-Chinchwad, January 9, 2026: Voting for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation general elections will be held on January 15, 2026. To increase voter turnout and create public awareness about voting, the municipal corporation has organised a “Grand Vintage Car Rally and Exhibition” in the city on Sunday, January 11.

The rally will flag off at 9 am from the Linear Garden in Pimple Saudagar and conclude at the proposed Mayor’s Residence Ground in Nigdi. Through this rally, citizens will get a unique opportunity to witness historic and rare cars and bikes up close. The municipal corporation has appealed to citizens to participate in large numbers and take advantage of this rare experience.

Under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Election Officer Shravan Hardikar, and under the supervision of Additional Commissioner Tripti Sandbhor and Deputy Commissioner Anna Bodade, various voter awareness initiatives are being organised across the city as part of the SVEEP programme to increase voter participation in the civic elections. As part of these efforts, the Grand Vintage Car Rally and Exhibition has been scheduled for January 11.

The rally route will pass through Landevadi Chowk, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Pimpri Chowk, Bhatnagar, Chinchwad, Premlok Park, Akurdi Chowk and Mhalasakant Chowk, before reaching Nigdi, where the exhibition will begin. Citizens will get the opportunity to view rare vintage cars from various companies, and they are urged to attend in large numbers.
