Kolhapur: 10-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted And Murdered In Sugarcane Field

In a deeply disturbing incident from Pimpri-Chinchwad, five individuals, including the victim’s father, have been arrested for repeatedly assaulting a minor girl. This shocking revelation came to light following a complaint by the 13-year-old victim, prompting action from the Chikhali police.
Incident Details The incidents occurred between April 8 and June 29, 2024, within the jurisdiction of the Chikhali Police Station in Pimpri-Chinchwad. According to police information, the victim was watching videos on YouTube when Samadhav Lavate approached her. He allegedly told her that he would do to her what was shown in the video. Lavate then took the girl to his house and assaulted her.
When the victim informed her father about the assault, he allegedly warned her to stay silent to protect their family’s honor. Following her father’s instructions, the girl remained quiet. However, she later fell ill, and while she was resting at home, her father allegedly assaulted her as well. When she resisted, he threatened to dismember her if she disclosed the abuse to anyone.

Further Assaults The ordeal did not end there. The girl faced further trauma when she went for tuition classes. Her tutor’s husband allegedly assaulted her. Subsequently, while visiting a friend of her mother’s, the friend’s husband also assaulted her. Later, another relative expressed his desire to marry her and assaulted her.
Police Action On the night of June 29, the father allegedly assaulted her again. Finally, the victim approached the police and filed a complaint. Following her report, the police have arrested her father, Samadhav Lavate, Pratap Dhayatde, Nitin Harale, and Sagar Harale. Charges have been filed against all of them, and they are currently in custody.
