Pimpri Chinchwad Police Gear Up For Ganesh Visarjan Processions, 11 Riot Control Teams Deployed

The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have deployed a massive force of around 4,000 personnel to ensure a smooth and secure Ganesh Visarjan procession in Chinchwad. The police have carefully planned the immersion processions, with a focus on preventing any untoward incidents. To maintain law and order, the police have deployed 11 riot control teams, 2,400 personnel, and a large force across the city. The immersion processions will take place in various areas, including Talegaon Dabhade, Talegaon MIDC, Shirgaon, and Sangvi Police Station limits.

In Pimpri, the processions will proceed from Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk to Shagun Chowk towards Jhulelal Ghat, while in Chinchwad, they will pass through Thergaon Ghat via Chapekar Chowk. Other areas will also witness processions.

A total of 2,014 public Ganesha Mandals have been installed within the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate limits, with some already dissolved. The remaining mandals will immerse their idols on Tuesday.

To ensure public safety, senior officials are closely monitoring the situation, and security personnel will be deployed strategically. The police have also deployed:

– 53 Inspectors

– 245 Assistant Inspectors/Sub-Inspectors

– 2,400 Executive personnel

– 500 Home Guards

– 11 Riot Control Squads

– 1 SRPF Company

– 1 Bomb Detection Squad

With these measures in place, the police aim to provide a secure and peaceful environment for devotees to bid farewell to Lord Ganesha.
