Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police announces diversion on Datta Mandir Road in Wakad

Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police have issued an official directive to redirect traffic on Datta Mandir Road in Wakad due to ongoing cement concretization of road.
As per the information provided, road work has resulted in frequent traffic congestion, prompting the Department of Transport to make alternative arrangements for a smoother flow of traffic. In accordance with directives from the Wakad Transport Department, the following changes will be implemented:
1. Traffic Diversion from Janoba Chowk: Vehicles travelling to and from Janoba Chowk using Dutt Mandir Road will no longer be permitted to pass through Sai Chowk. Instead, they will be rerouted via Kaveri Nagar Road.
2. Restrictions on Bhujbal Corner to Mauli Chowk Traffic: Vehicles moving between Bhujbal Corner (near Kakaj Hotel) and Mauli Chowk via Dutt Mandir Road will face restrictions. These vehicles will be directed to either take the Wakad Post Office Lane or use Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk to reach their intended destination.
Local Exceptions: Residents of the affected areas will be exempted from the above rules.
Temporary Measure: These traffic changes are temporary and will remain in effect until the completion of the roadworks.
Effective Dates: The new traffic rules will be implemented from September 8, 2023, until the end of November 2023.
As per the information received, local authorities are urging citizens to use alternative routes and cooperate with transport staff during the roadwork. These changes have been announced on behalf of the Pimpri Chinchwad City, Transport Branch, to expedite the completion of the road construction and ensure the safety and convenience of the public.
